POLICY STATEMENT
With the privilege of holding a position of significant pivotality like President of Student Council, I aim to bring a complete breath of fresh air, one that will redefine the role that Student Council should be playing - being with the students, speaking for the students, fighting for their rights and putting them above all else. One that will not only be a mere promise, but will transform into real actions, stemming from my 3-In Vision:

Changes are necessary for any community, and with the privilege of representing the student body, I will bring changes that are associated with growth opportunities, ones that are worth your “wow!”.
The idea of blue-sky thinking will be relentlessly vitalized and reiterated within the internal working environment of Student Council, along with the implementation of a turning-impossibilities-into-possibilities mentality, so that each member can freely dive into the ocean of unlimited creativity. With such a daring to renew and revive the old, the results that we potentially come up with will be full of novelty, originality and freshness.
Events will be upscaled, with more effort being put into brainstorming, planning, and executing to guarantee that each element is under thorough preparation and reflects great professionalism. Furthermore, a plethora of new ideas will be translated into actual new events, for example Cultural Day, Sports Tournament or Open Debate Conferences and competitions between RMIT Vietnam and other universities, heralding an era of the unprecedenteds and efforts of breaking old boundaries.

I hold a firm perception that every single individual has a hand in contributing to the mutual environment of RMIT. Regarding Student Council itself, internal operation will ensure that every member’s idea is respected and that they regard Student Council as a safe place to speak up, contribute, or even unpack their own hidden potentials.
Externally, there will be a wide range of events held to enable engagement among students, including ones invigorating students to embrace their own authenticities and ones aiming to solidify friendship and strengthen personal connections. Besides, collaboration between Student Council and other clubs will be strongly encouraged, promisingly leading to various series of activities and events being synergically built up by a multiple of dimensions, which will maximize the power of diversity and challenge each of us to interconnect the differences.

Student Council is the voice of the student body, the one that represents the muted, the unheard, the unnoticed. Thus, I decide to put the focus of my upcoming actions on what WE could do instead on what I could do, whose center is students’ rights, desires and aspirations and what all of us, as a whole, can possibly bring.
I believe communication will be the key for me to unlock what students are longing to change, and therefore I would make sure that I myself and Student Council are proactive communicators who initiate honest, sincere and effective conversations, those that students find comfortable enough to express, reliable enough to confess, and powerful enough to contribute themselves into actual changes that they want to see. I would provide various communication platforms and methods of expression as well as encourage students to partake in changing whatever may affect their experiences, which is something that they have a right to be in control of. By doing that, we can start to have impacts on each other, motivate each other to make change, and inspire each other to start leading their own “game".
